At Clabby Analytics (the information technology research firm that has constructed this site) we believe that no single microprocessor/systems design handles all computing tasks optimally.  Some processors excel at parallel computing, others excel at executing serial tasks rapidly, while still others excel at processing data-intensive workloads.  Therefore, enterprises that wish to maximize their computing investments should understand how to match workloads (applications or groups of applications) to the microprocessor/systems environments best suited to execute those workloads most efficiently. 

On this website we:

• Describe what workload optimization is -- and describe why it is so important. 
• Discuss computer systems designs (microprocessors, memory, networking, input/output [I/O] and storage subsystems -- and chassis designs) -- and show how systems designs influence performance and Quality-of-Service. 
• Share our thoughts on how to analyze workloads.  We contend that workloads practically tell you which system they should be deployed upon. 
• Compare different vendors' approaches to workload optimization; and,
• Provide customer examples that show the operational and business benefits derived by using a workload optimization approach.
